Paolo Metaldi (Verbania 1980), freelance designer and illustrator, lives and works in Milan. He trained in Milan at the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico and at the Istituto Europeo di Design, where he graduated. As a designer, he has been awarded in national and international competitions. In 2015, he won the Compasso d’Oro ADI and in 2017 the Good Design Award. He currently collaborates with Ichendorf and serves as design director for the brands Excélsa and Viceversa. As an illustrator, he has collaborated with Esquire, Domus, Banca IFIS, Lega Ambiente, Milanovibra, Minotti, B&B, Fantoni, Linkiesta, Silvana Editoriale, and 66th And 2nd. His works have received major national recognitions, being featured for two consecutive years in the Annual23 publication with several illustrations.
