Modoro®

After graduating from the Postgraduate School of Anatomical Drawing at the University of Bologna, my hometown, I worked with publishing houses for more than twenty years, creating illustrations for medical and surgical textbooks. Then, in 2021, my brand Modoro® was born. A project that reflects my personality, reveals my roots, and expresses my entire artistic journey from the very beginning to the present day. With Modoro, I draw inspiration from food, from raw ingredients to cooked dishes, because to me, cooking is not just made of aromas and flavours, but also of emotions, care, connections, and memories to share. I love drawing my subjects from life, and to do so, I exclusively use the line art technique. It is what defines me and feels most like my own; it is almost like practicing a discipline, made of precise, regular gestures repeated endlessly. Science and Art, rigour and emotion are the tracks I love to travel on.
